On Sunday Big Betty went to a new home...

Weird to see he loaded into a different van... a bit sad. I need to say farewell to the second fastest Aprilia twin around the Isle of Man...

Now there's a wee hole in my garage...

... and in my heart.

She was a good 'un.

Suzy V for Sale

Plans are underway for next year. Unfortunately, Suzy V has to go :-(

She's been a faithful servant - a veteran of 5 Manx Grand Prix and earning 3 replicas for her efforts. Just one DNF with a faulty battery and a finishers medal after some plonker replaced the carb diaphragm cover the wrong way around before the race.

This year, outgunned and underpowered against the modern machinery, the 13 year old old carb-fed sweet-lookin' gal did a best lap of 109mph and finished 9th in her race. The first Suzuki home - she showed 'em what's what.

Original Suzuki front-end goes back on...

Frankenstein Aprilia front-end (with the help of Kawasaki bottom clamps, original stem and GSXR top clamp)...

...goes back in the box for the next bike.

Ay yes... all 'original' again.

She's been immense. I'm going to miss wringing her neck around the Isle of Man.

Wee Monster Goes

The other week, the Wee Monster's new owner came to pick her up. Sad to see her go... I've spent a lot of time on her and she was good to me. The only bike I've won a race on. Three wins and five podiums... and that was from not more than 20 races over the 5 years I've had her.

Her new owner qualified 2nd last weekend at Donnington in his first race meeting... unfortunately he crashed out of both races. She'll get more podiums and wins for him.

Fourfiddy FOR SALE :-(

It was with a heavy heart that I spent today cleaning my KTM Fourfiddy and prepping her for sale. With new plastics and graphics she's lookin' real sweet. I hardly ride her now... just got too many other things going on... and got a wedding to pay for. She's a good one... will be sad to see her go.

2012 Race Season is just about over... it's been fun. Mostly. Time to try recover a bit of that debt I've ploughed myself into... time to liberate some space and get some cash!

Nine sets of road tyres with less than 10% wear on them... some of them brand new! Loads of other bits and bobs... carbon this, fibre that. It's all gotta go! FleaBay is my friend.

Beemdawg For Sale

After a year of saying that I would... I've finally put my beloved Beemdawg up for sale...

... the thing is... everytime I drive it I want to keep it.

It's been chipped, lowered, blah, blah... handles fantastically and pulls like a bastard!

It's old school... but cool.

It's a bit juvenile, but making clouds of blue tyresmoke still puts a grin on my face and going sideways makes me yelp out an involuntary "Whooo-hooo!".

I wanted to learn to drift proper in this machine... but am in too deep with bikes at the moment and she hardly gets used... and I need the cash to pay for my new bike aquisitions.
