With no riding partner or helpers (only international star Andreas Lettenbichler managed to get up one of the mental climbs unassisted!) and getting stuck behind a much slower rider on an impassable pass, Igor managed to get half-way through the second Day's stage (shortened) before retiring to a standing ovation at about 16h00.
Results: 42nd out of 65 in class (Silver). Only the top 9 riders in his class finished the race.
A fantastic effort for his first 'Roof'.
